Brad Feld at Excelerate Demo Day

I love listening to Brad Feld talk about building startup communities and how passionate he is about it. He has great insight from all the work that he and his “neighborhood” have done in Boulder. He kicked off Excelerate Labs‘ Demo Day yesterday and impressed as always.

A concept he had that I particularly liked was that of “leaders and feeders”. The entrepreneurs are the leaders and all the other participants in the startup ecosystem are the feeders (lawyers, investors, accelerators, etc.). Both are important, but he made the point that startup communities are built and led by entrepreneurs. His insight is really good and I would encourage you to checkout his book on startup communities.
